E.F.F.G.?
What if the world was a cylinder, and this was normal?
What if the many species inside lived in a high-fantasy setting, and this was normal?
What if some ghostly demigods and an unreachable creator carefully managed this world over millennia? Yep. It becomes normal.
What if it wasn’t normal?

Everything’s Fine in a Finite Garden.
The cylinder is the world, and all is in the world. The world is bounded, but the world is complete. Land of all kinds, filled with people of all kinds, living lives of all kinds. The world is Homeworld, and there is nothing else.
Until a once-passive intellectual determined that no, there was more. No, there was more world beyond our boundaries, despite how there obviously wasn’t, and despite how those boundaries are big enough anyway.
Off he went to drill in the ice wall, those circles of gray over two hundred miles across. For the longest time, there was more ice.
Then, there wasn’t. And what really laid behind the world’s end would uncover more than what the late prophet intended. But for now, hundreds of Homeworld explorers anticipate the tunnel’s completion.
Because an Extended Frontier’s a Fine Gamble.
The product of a successful 2024 NaNoWriMo (and the last they’ll ever have…). Only got to making ~15 chapters, but it completed the challenge.
